Samson

This game is free, however it is only to be used for classroom and personal use. It may not be published on any websites or other electronic media, or distributed in newsletters, bulletins, or any other form or sold for profit. Reproduction or retransmission of any materials, in whole or in part, in any manner, is not permitted. All graphics/images/clipart etc. used on all activities are not my own and are from various internet sources.

Samson (file folder game): Answer questions about Samson as you work your way around the board. Try to be the first player to remove all of your pillar while other players attempt to add to it.

Directions: Place your markers on START. Players take turns by rolling a die and moving that many spaces on the game board. Players must follow the directions on the space they land on. If the space has a picture of Samson on it, the player to their left draws a card and asks them a question about Samson (if they cannot read it someone else can read it for them). If the player answers correctly, they may remove one cylinder block or thread spool from their pillar. If they are incorrect, they must add a cylinder block or thread spool to their pillar. If a player lands on “Remove 1” they may remove one block or spool from their pillar and put it on another player’s pillar. If a player lands on “Take 1” they must take one block or spool from another player’s pillar and add it to theirs. Play continues clockwise. The first player to remove all their cylinder blocks or thread spools in their pillar wins. (Younger students do not have to answer a question when they land on a picture of Samson. They may remove one cylinder block or thread spool and play the rest of the game according to the directions.)
